Creating the ultimate mountain retreat requires experience, originality and creativity. For more than 30 years, Young and Burton has been building distinctive private luxury mountain residences throughout Arizona and the West. Principals Larry Young and Bryan Young bring 45 years of combined homebuilding experience to every project.

Family values.
It may sound old-fashioned. But the company’s philosophy remains unchanged over time, and after the completion of hundreds of homes. Its mission is to “service the client and maximize what each one can receive for the money they want to spend.” And Young and Burton certainly does.

Making a material difference.
Perhaps no traits define Young and Burton better than resourcefulness and ingenuity. Consider that the majority of one home built in The Rim Golf Club consists of reclaimed wood. Its beams were once train trestles buried deep under water in the Great Salt Lake for 100 years. What was once barn wood was reclaimed to become the floor, and one of the walls from the great room is made entirely of river rock.

Spreading across the West.
No cookie-cutter style homes here. Young and Burton routinely break the mold. They build log and mountain-style homes, desert Southwest-style homes, contemporary, and eclectic-style homes – rarely are any two identical.

The company has already built 16 homes in Chaparral Pines, and four more in The Rim Golf Club. Project locations also include The Boulders in Arizona, the San Francisco Bay Area, and Lake Tahoe.

Unique designs, unparalleled attention to detail, and the innovative use of reclaimed materials has led to numerous accolades and awards for Young and Burton, including the 1999-2000 Homes and Gardens Architecture Award. Projects have also appeared in Metropolitan Home, The San Francisco Examiner, Scottsdale Magazine, and numerous trade magazines such as Global Architecture.
